Our History

The Five Bells Inn is a charming rural pub and restaurant located in Edenham, a small village just outside Bourne. It has a rich history, having been built over a century ago in 1880 on the site of a temperance hotel. Supposedly its name derives from the nearby village church which was originally built with five bells.

Today it's a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. With two original Ancaster brick fireplaces, the Five Bells provides a cosy place to grab some food and drinks after strolling along the public footpaths to Grimsthorpe Castle.

Our Story

At the Five Bells Inn, we are passionate about bringing the best of Spanish cuisine to our guests, alongside traditional classics. Our founders, Lucy and Bill Sacker, have a farming background and a deep love for Spanish food, which they discovered during their time in Burgos, Northern Spain. Their dream of opening their own restaurant has now become a reality, and we are excited to share our story and delicious food with you.
